Borough Market (Southwark)

Assistant Market Manager - Salary Scale Starting 18K

The Borough Market was established by Act of Parliament
in 1756 and is administered by 21 Trustees who have to
live in close proximity to the Market. In 1999 it
became a registered charity No 1076940. The Market is
just about to start a total refurbishment of its 4.5
acre site close to the southern end of London Bridge.

The Trustees now wish to appoint an Assistant Market
Manager to fully participate in contributing towards
the continuing expansion of the existing successful
weekend Fine Food Market by assisting the Market
Manager. Unsocial hours at weekends are a requirement
of the position with compensatory time off in week -
and the ability to carry out manual tasks as well as
office work in promoting the Market. Previous knowledge
of Markets would be an advantage.

Interested candidates should contact the market on 020
7407 1002 requesting an application form. Interviews
will be held on Thursday 8 November.
