BOROUGH & BANKSIDE COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Tuesday 6 April
7pm at Charles Dickens School, Lant Street
Covers Cathedrals and Chaucer wards. Agenda includes
deputations from Greak Suffolk Street traders and the
Trinity Newington Residents Association regarding the
Trinity Estate road closures. There will be a
presentation on being a school governor, and update on
local policing issues, and a presentation on the
Borough Spending Plan by the Traffic and Transport
Group. Tim England will speak about the cleaning
contract and the Street Leaders initiative. The
Community Council will also consider a planning
application for an extension and extra floors at 1-5
Marshalsea Road.

BERMONDSEY COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Wednesday 7 April
7pm at Millpond TA Hall, 210A Jamaica Road, SE16
Meeting for residents of Grange, Riverside  and South
Bermondsey wards. Business includes and update on the
Bermondsey Spa Regeneration Project. Also a police
update. Kendal MacKay willl explain what the Borough
Spending Plan is, what can be included in the bid and
invite members of the public to identify possible bid
proposals during the break.

INTERNATIONAL OPEN IMAGE  COMPETITION SHOWCASE
Until Friday 9 March
11am-6pm at the Waterloo Gallery, 14 Baylis Road
This competition provides a channel for a collective of
thoughts, skills and ideas to be expressed, explored,
discovered & promoted. It is an opportunity for
established professionals and emerging talent to have
their work appreciated by a mix of their industry peers
and the wider public at large. The winners were
announced last week by Waterloo Gallery director Bob
Smith and and Melissa Foo from sponsors Roxio.

NORTH SOUTHWARK INTER-CHURCH WALK OF WITNESS
Friday 9 April
Meet 11am in the churchyard on the south side of
Southwark Cathedral
Ecumenical procession with the Cross to La Salette in
Melior Street for service at 12 noon and Hot Cross
Buns. On the journey stations will be made at which
portions of the Passion will be read.

A chance to influence the new landscaping of Potters

It was one of the centrepieces of the Festival of
Britain, the postwar celebration that helped establish
