ARMISTICE CEREMONY AT GUY'S HOSPTIAL
Friday 9 November
10.50am-11.05am  at Guy's Hospital,  St Thomas' Street
A Remembrance ceremony at the Guy's Memorial Arch (opposite
entrance to the Hodgkin Building). This Guy's tradition is
open to all and includes prayers for peace, the laying of
wreaths and the sounding of the Last Post & Reveille.

LORD MAYOR'S SHOW FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Saturday 10 November
5pm on the River Thames west of Blackfriars Bridge; free
To mark the end of the Lord Mayor's Show in the City of
London and the beginning of a new mayoral year, the new Lord
Mayor will start a magnificent firework display on the river
Thames. The display is best viewed from the South Bank
between Waterloo Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge It takes a
team of eight pyrotechnicians two days to set up more than
half a tonne of giant fireworks, some of which shoot over
600ft into the sky before exploding.

BOROUGH REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY
Sunday 11 November
10.50am at Borough War Memorial (outside Slug & Lettuce),
Borough High Street
Annual observance of the Two Minute Silence in memory of the
dead of the two World Wars. St George the Martyr and
Precious Blood clergy lead short outdoor service followed by
laying of wreaths by Borough organisations. All welcome.

11am at Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road; free
Armistice memorial ceremony in the Museum's atrium, with a
two minute silence, followed by a performance on the Western
Front violin and the chance to meet veterans of twentieth
century conflicts.
