BOROUGH HIGH STREET MAINS REPLACEMENT WORKS DROP IN SESSION
Monday 21 September
3pm-7pm at The Ship, 68 Borough Road
Thames Water and Southern Gas will be working together to
replace ageing mains beneath Borough High Street from 21
September for the next 37 weeks. Representatives from Thames
Water, Southern Gas and their contractors Morrison Utility
Services will be on hand to answer questions from local
residents and businesses.

MEET BISHOPS WARD SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAM
Thursday 24 September
10am-4pm in Coral Street
Come along to the mobile police unit in Coral Street, meet
members of the team, hear about the work they do and how to
get involved in Safer Neighbourhoods meetings. You will also
be able to find out more about the Policing Pledge, get
advice on crime prevention and discuss crime and policing

THE ALTERNATIVE VILLAGE FETE ON THE SOUTH BANK
Saturday 26 to Sunday 27 September
Sat 12 noon-7pm; Sun 12 noon-3pm at Theatre Square, National
Theatre,  South Bank; free
Expect a full and diverse programme of artists', artisans'
and craftmakers' activities that put a contemporary, urban
twist on the traditional village event. Saturday will
revolve around a vibrant stage programme - visitors can
partake in a mass Ukelele jam, contemporary ceilidh, dance
to anarchic brass - and also a wealth of fun, participatory
fete based games and interactions that bring our traditional
craftmaking practices into the 21st Century. Sunday's
lunchtime programme will mark the seasonal move towards
Autumn and Harvest time with a 'Sunday Picnic' series of
innovative food and horticulture projects where visitors can
share in the art of preparing, cooking and tasting to the
sounds of urban folk fusion on stage.
