A public exhibition our the proposed redevelopment of Stamford House and Drury House is being held in Wakefield House, next to the Mad Hatter on Stamford Street. The site for the proposed Sainsbury's Central supermarket is the corner of Rennie Street where it will be part of a new development of the island site bounded by Blackfriars Road, Upper Ground, Rennie Street and Stamford Street. The existing buildings will be replaced with a complex which includes a 19-storey office block on the site of Drury House opposite the Express building. The exhibition will be open today until 8pm, and on Saturday between 10am and 4pm. Members of the development team from Sainsbury's and Stanhope plc will be on hand to answer questions. http://london-se1.co.uk/cgi-bin/news/showarticle.pl?981827355 ======================================================= [ Half-term activities ] It's half-term for most London schools this week, and many SE1 attractions have special activites for children.
