The MP will be speaking at the launch of the Friends of Jubilee Gardens. The group is being formed by residents worried about development of the gardens which opened in the Queen's first Jubilee Year 25 years ago. John Simpson, if back from reporting duties with the BBC in Afghanistan, will be the host with Robert Lindsay, Joanna Trollope, John Harle, Martin Bashir and Juliet Stevenson. The music is by the Singers of London, conducted by Justin Doyle, and Notre Dame Singers youth choir (directed by Geraldine Hine who has given them a world-wide repertoire). Results from this research have contributed to many of the recent discoveries in the treatment of this complex illness.
