CALDER BOOKSHOP TARIQ ALI EVENT POSTPONED
Thursday 5 September
6.45pm at the Calder Bookshop, 51 The Cut; �3 
The Calder Bookshop announced today that due to
unforseen circumstances, Tariq Ali has had to postpone
his talk at the Calder Bookshop  until later in the
year. Instead the bookshop will be assembling a
distinguished panel to discuss some of the issues that
Ali raises in his latest book, Clash of the
Fundamentalisms. Amongst others, the panel will include
the journalist, commentator and former director of the
Institute of Ideas, Mark Ryan. The panel will discuss
the evolving world political crisis since September
11th 2001, with the re-emergence of Sadam Hussein as
the greatest threat to the West - reclaiming the baton
from Osama Bin Laden.
