FUELLING POVERTY: OIL, WATER AND CORRUPTION
Monday 19 May
7pm in the Seminar Room at Southwark Cathedral
Southwark Cathedral Mission Committee has organised an
open meeting with Andrew Pendleton from Christian Aid.
Oil and water are commodities which directly affect the
balance of poverty, power and affluence in the modern
world. All are welcome. Fair Trade coffee and nibbles
will be available.

BeLIEve: STAGED READING AT THE ROSE THEATRE
Wednesday 21 to Friday 24 May

'BeLIEve' is a new play by Tracy Keeling whose previous
work has premiered in both the Spoleto Festival and the
New York Fringe Festival. 'BeLIEve' is a one act play
that follows the journey of three characters trapped in
an underground train with each other as the only chance
for possible salvation.  A battle ensues as they fight
it out for the position of shepherd or sheep.  Are we
faithful in our hope or hopeful in our faith? When push
comes to shove, be careful taking sides.  Or that's
what they'd have one beLIEve... Will the ghosts of the
Rose applaud Keeling and her new play? Come along and
see.

brutality of working class Victorian life to the heyday

present day. When a violent event takes place, the
centuries and the lives of those inhabiting the room
become forever bound together.
