The agenda is available on the Southwark Council website. http://www.southwark.gov.uk/involved/cc_2berm.htm BRIGHTEN UP THE AREA - BLACKFRIARS SETTLEMENT Wednesday 28 May 7.30pm at Blackfriars Settlement Main Hall, 1-5 Rushworth Street Come along to discuss ways in which our area can be brightened up. A few years ago Blackfriars Settlement participated in a project to help improve the area with windowboxes and hanging gardens, and they wish to do so again. If there is sufficient interest, Blackfriars Settlement will work to secure funding for the project. http://www.blackfriars-settlement.org.uk ROSE THEATRE EXHIBITION OPEN DAY Friday 30 May 11am-7pm at 56 Park Street; admission free but donations welcome Rose Theatre Trust volunteers will be on hand to tell you about the site and answer any questions you may have. http://www.rosetheatre.org.uk THE YOUNG VIC - BUILDING THE FUTURE - OPEN DAY Saturday 31 May 10am-2pm at the Young Vic, 66 The Cut The theatre is 33 years old, worn out and impossible to repair. Plans for a rebuild are under way. At the first open day last August there were ideas. Now there are designs. AT CITY HALL Saturday 31 May & Sunday 1 June Saturday 2pm-7pm, Sunday 11am-6pm Cultural Capital: Live! is a free public event to launch the public consultation of 'London: Cultural Capital' - the first culture strategy for London . It will take place at City Hall on the riverside and will include live music, video and sound installations, creative workshops and sports activities - a range of interactive events that utilise the whole of City Hall. This will be an event not to be missed.
