The scheme, which includes vital key worker accommodation, is being undertaken for the Guy's & St Thomas' Charitable Foundation, Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital NHS Trust & Evelina Children's Hospital. It will also provide a 100 place day nursery for children of hospital staff; Ronald McDonald House, accommodation for families of very sick children being treated by the children�s hospitals and new accommodation for long term tenants of the charitable foundation. SPECIAL OLYMPICS TORCH RUN Wednesday 11 June The Special Olympics torch arrives at Waterloo International at 12 noon on on its way to Dublin. The torch run starts at Hungerford Bridge at 2pm arriving at City Hall at 3.30pm for the official London welcome. The event will involve some road closures and diversions to bus services. http://www.2003specialolympics.com SAM'S WEEKEND - FREE EVENTS AT SHAKESPEARE'S GLOBE Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June 10am-1pm at Shakespeare's Globe, New Globe Walk; free Every year Globe Education celebrates Sam Wanamaker's birthday with a weekend of free events. Workshops, combat displays, Globe Walkshops and music will be among the many activities taking place this year. Tickets are free of charge (first come, first served). Places on Globe Walkshops should be booked in advance. Contact the Box Office on 020 7401 9919 to confirm availability of tickets for specific events. http://www.shakespeares-globe.org CELEBRATING SANCTUARY - COIN STREET FESTIVAL Sunday 15 June 2pm-7pm at Bernie Spain Gardens, South Bank; free Once again the launch event for Refugee Week will be part of the Coin Street Festival. The 'team' comprises of psychologists, job-coaches, IT tutors and social skills tutors. Their combined efforts enable the clients to re-discover a positive professional and personal life, and become active members of the community once more.
