ROSE THEATRE OPEN DAY
Monday 16 June
11am-6pm at 56 Park Street; free (donations welcome)
The Rose Theatre Trust's team of volunteers will be
opening up the Rose Theatre site  to all comers. Come
and learn more about the site and the trust's plans for
it.

Meet 6.15pm; Southwark Needle (London Bridge south end)
Monday's ride heads to Dulwich Park where there's a

The eve of the festival of Bernard Mizeki, Zimbabwe�s
first Anglican martyr.  With the Zimbabwe Christian
Fellowship Choir.

Second meeting of the Community Council for residents

month's meeting includes discussion of transport and

BIKE WEEK: MIDSUMMER MADNESS RIDE
Saturday 21 June
Starts at 2am in Cutty Sark Gardens Greenwich, or you
can join at 2.30am on the south side of London Bridge
by the Southwark Needle
Early morning ride to witness the summer solstice
sunrise on the longest day of the year, arriving at
Primrose Hill by 4.43am for a fantastic view of sunrise
across the capital.

CHRIST CHURCH GARDENS FLOWER FESTIVAL
Saturday 21 June
12 noon-4pm at Christ Church Garden, 27 Blackfriars
Road; free
Displays, cream teas and a brass band. Competitions
include plant looking like its owner, best decorated
pot, best 'garden in a pot', best kids plant, flower of
the show, healthiest house plant and best home-grown
vegetable. Organised by Bankside Open Spaces Trust,
Christ Church Southwark and Waterloo Community
Regeneration Trust.
