The is a major photographic exhibition by a renowned writer and photographer David Hevey, using images and text to chart the journey of disabled and deaf people towards equality. The exhibition has been created by the Disability Rights Commission and supported by the Mayor of London. It has been designed by Helena Roden and produced by the arts charity Shape. It is audio described and Braille and large print versions of texts are available. http://www.london.gov.uk/mayor/eydp-2003/giants.jsp BOROUGH & BANKSIDE COMMUNITY COUNCIL Tuesday 30 September 7pm at Charles Dickens School, Lant Street Meeting for residents of Chaucer and Cathedrals wards. Business includes a brief presentation on a proposal for a street drinking ban in the Borough & Bankside area, followed by discussion. There will also be an update on the Cleaner, Greener, Safer Capital Programme and a presentation on Children's Centres and related early years and childcare developments in the area. This year, as part of Archives Awareness Month 2003, the RFH Archive has selected for display some of its collection of images and artefacts celebrating its pioneering history.
