WORLD AIDS DAY EVENTS AT CITY HALL
Monday 1 December
All day at City Hall, Queen's Walk
A day of events hosted by Mayor Ken Livingstone.
Includes 'Are you HIV prejudiced?' photographic
exhibition in the Visitors' Centre, highlighting
experiences of prejudice and discrimination by people
living with HIV in the UK. The exhibition runs until
December 5 (9am-5pm).
Between 10am and 5pm today there will be a World AIDS
Day Craft Sale in the City Hall Cafeteria. Items will
include beaded red ribbons and dolls from the Siyazama
Project, which is run by women from a rural community
in Kwazulu Natal (South Africa).

MULTI-CULTURAL TREE CIRCLE PLANTING PICNIC
Monday 1 December
1pm-3pm by Symington House, off Harper Road, next to
Joseph Lancaster School
Community tree planting event. Free vegetarian
refreshments. A regular community garden club will meet
on Tuesdays 12-3pm, based at REPA Adventure, 10 Dickens
Square, off Harper Road.

SHELL ELECTRIC STORM
Monday 1 December
Tonight the Shell Electric Storm is due to host a
special event to mark the start of Advent, but exact
details were unavailable at the time of compilation.

FESTIVE FUN AT THE FASHION AND TEXTILE MUSEUM
Tuesday 2 & Tuesday 9 December
6.30pm-9pm at the Fashion & Textile Museum, 83

An evening of shopping and mingling with complimentary

Detectives from the Met Police arrested four people on
Thursday - including a serving Southwark police officer
- as part of an investigation into allegations of

10 YEARS IN JAIL FOR WATERLOO ROBBER
24-year-old Jason Colliver of Miller Walk, off Stamford
Street, was on Friday sentenced to 10 years
imprisonment at the Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court

London and the Home Counties.
