This evening is a culmination of a whole series of poetry events in the borough. The Southwark Poem had its first line written by Andrew Motion, and has since been extended by contributions from aspiring poets throughout the borough. Morley's own poet, Maurice Riordan, has judged the poems and prizes will be presented to the winning entries on this evening. The winners will be joined by other guest poets to perform their work.
