Exhbits include the Biobench (winner of Audi Design Foundation 2004), Eye Fly (winner of British Airways London Eye product design competition 2004) and The Solo project (winner of a Roald Dahl Foundation bursary 2004). All these innovative products will be on display at Style Works, along with the works of 62 fellow design students. The fields covered include consumer products, sports products, and special effects design. The show is the perfect opportunity for young talented designers to rub shoulders with employers and professionals and to incorporate their skills into the design industry. http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/designshow/ ST JOHN'S CHURCHYARD RE-LAUNCH EVENT Saturday 19 June 1pm-4pm at St John's Churchyard, off Tower Bridge Road Map: http://quicklink.se1direct.co.uk/?id=745 The refurbishment of this park has been supported by More London, Pool of London Partnership - on behalf of the London Development Agency, and Southwark Council. J&L Gibbons Landscape Architects and Bankside Open Spaces Trust have worked with a steering group of residents and community representatives to agree a design for the park. The park now has new play equipment, and a fantastic art project produced with children from Tower Bridge Primary School. The park's lighting and pathways make sense, the fencing and gates have been replaced, new turf has been laid and new benches installed. The war memorial and its surrounding stonework have been cleaned and repaired. The whole project has been carried out with sympathy to the history and tranquillity of this park. The event is the first celebration for the local community in the new park.
