Other speakers will include Dr Aleida Guevara, daughter of Ernesto (Che) Guevera; Dr Susan George, who writes on third world debt issues; Frances O'Grady, TUC Deputy General Secretary; Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams; Meena Menon, who writes on the environment, health and women's issues; and Cllr Charles Adje, leader of Haringey Council. As a consequence there will be no service on the Bakerloo Line between Piccadilly Circus and Elephant & Castle until 4pm. The free Level 1 Introduction to Modern and Contemporary Art Online Course at http://www.tate.org.uk/ita was created by Tate and the City Literary Institute. Students learn from a full range of multimedia features including images, interactive games, QTVR and sound. This visually arresting project is the most advanced interactive art learning scheme offered by a UK institution. The Level 1 course is free and can be done at any time from any place with internet access. There will be a charge of GBP 95 (concessions GBP 45) for the Level 2 course, which starts on 24 January 2005. Students will be grouped in online classes of maximum 10 people, led by eight professional tutors and invited guests from the art world. Moreover, they will be encouraged to participate actively in discussions on the website, where they will be 'introduced' to other students and get personal feedback. Students also receive a book of their choice from one of ten recent Tate exhibitions.
