WRESTLING AN ANGEL AT THE OLD OPERATING THEATRE
Friday 5, Saturday 6, Sunday 7, Friday 12, Saturday 13,

A site-specific dance performance choreographed by
Athina Vahla. Wrestling an Angel is an extraordinary
promenade performance through the history stained
vestiges of the unique medical architecture of the Old
Operating Theatre Museum. From the spiral staircase to
the church attic which houses the 19th century surgical
amphitheatre, the audience will be guided on a journey
from the moment of death to the haunting of a life,
presenting the physical body pinned down and splayed
out in the imagination.

NATIONAL LOTTERY DAY AT TATE MODERN
Saturday 6 November
From 10.30am at Tate Modern, Bankside

Visitors can tour a special maze featuring items linked
to projects and individuals that have received lottery
cash. Among the objects on display will be the Olympic
gold medal won by champion rower Matthew Pinsent and a
boxing glove signed by Great Britain�s Olympic silver
medallist Amir Khan. The events start at 10.30am when
63 children from the Trinity School Marching Show Band,
from Nottingham, cross the Millennium Bridge to the
main stage on Tate Modern's north landscape. They will
be followed by the Woodberry Down Youth Circus, a group
of talented nine to 11-year-olds from Hackney. Among
other acts will be a "pop-opera" performed by six to
14-year-olds from the Wiltshire-based Musical
Shakespeare Theatre, and the Treehouse project, from
Morayshire, Scotland, with their mix of African and
Latin music. The last performance of the day is by
Exeter-based group Kagemusha Taiko, displaying the
Japanese art of taiko drumming. It will be followed at
5.30pm by a huge light show.  A birthday Lotto draw,
with a guaranteed �10 million jackpot, will also take
place at Tate Modern in the evening.
