Meeting for residents of the remaining Church

for sale, along with Winchester Park Estate, Walworth
and Vauxhall Estates. Residents' groups are concerned
that the properties will be sold to the highest bidder
rather than to a social landlord and are mounting a
united campaign against the sale, which the believe
will be against the interest of the tenants and would
cause a breakup of the local community. This follows a
meeting of Walworth tenants on 21 September attended by
approximately 150 tenants and addressed by Harriet
Harman MP and a local councillor. On 17 October a
meeting of Vauxhall Tenants was held with approximately
100 tenants and Kate Hoey.

ECUMENICAL THOMAS MASS AT ST GEORGE'S CATHEDRAL
Sunday 30 October
6pm at St George's RC Cathedral, Lambeth Road
Map: http://quicklink.se1direct.co.uk/?id=820
Over the last few years, Southwark Anglican Cathedral,
St George's Roman Catholic Cathedral and St Olav's
Norwegian Church, Rotherhithe, have successfully
created closer links with each other, especially in the
area of Eucharistic celebrations. Whilst recognising
any differences, doubts or questions of faith they may
have about each other, they, like Thomas the Doubter,
seek with faith to foster what they hold in common with
each other rather than what makes them different.
