Guy's and St Thomas' Charity has recently carried out a
survey of the spread of roots of trees northwards out of
Archbishops Park below the Holy Trinity Centre and adjoining
car park. The survey was carried out in conjunction with
the London Borough of Lambeth's tree officer. The purpose of
the survey was to assess whether the construction of the
basement car park of the proposed Founder's Place scheme
would impact on the roots of any of the trees in
Archbishop's Park. The survey showed that none of the roots
would be affected. The Charity's landscape advisor and
planning advisor will be presenting the findings of the
survey, together with an explanation of how the trees would
be protected during the construction phase and afterwards.
