GOODBYE CHARLIE BRIGHT: COMMUNITY FILM CLUB

Charlie Bright is a fairytale about the friendship between
two teenage boys from a South London council estate. In the
middle of a long hot summer, the close yet volatile
relationship between Charlie and Justin reaches breaking

GUY'S & ST THOMAS' ANNUAL PUBLIC MEETING
Tuesday 12 September
6pm (refreshments from 5.30pm) at St Thomas' Hospital
A review of the Trust's work over the last year and further
details about its plans for 2006/07. Guests will also be
able to hear presentations on the Trust's pioneering work in
genetics, the growing UK obesity problem and Guy's and St
Thomas' Charity. There will be a showing of a film all about
BBC1's City Hospital programme.

departure from 62 Southwark Bridge Road.  A Southwark couple
in their sixties on the verge of a break up, create a storm
as they sell their house, gamble away their savings and
auction off their souvenirs on the internet. Breaking up is
hard to do but Billy and Margaret are giving it a go. An
explosive comedy about love and hate, endings and beginnings
and what happens next when you think its all over. Presented
by a professional cast supported by a community ensemble.

TRADING PLACES: PEOPLE, POETRY & PHOTOGRAPHY OF LOWER MARSH
Thursday 14 & Friday 15 September
Spread the Word and the South Bank Centre are bringing
photography and poetry to the community of Lower Marsh.
Supported by the international camera agency LOMO, Trading
Places will be creating an interactive wall of photographs
and recorded poetry about the street. The poetry and
photographs will be gathered from various events and
workshops for those who live and work around Lower  Marsh.
It will be displayed on the South Bank and launched at the
Poetry International Festival (24-29 October), along with an
accompanying poetry booklet and website.  LOMO shoot: A Day
in the Life (14/15 and 21/22 September) is an amazing
opportunity for individuals around Lower Marsh to have fun
for free with a LOMO camera, with the results being
displayed to the public.

IN MY BACK YARD? WEST BERMONDSEY COMMUNITY FORUM
Thursday 14 September
7pm at Hankey Hall,  Hankey Place
Come to the next in WBCF's series of quarterly planning

applications for the West Bermondsey Area, including an

BANKSIDE INFORMATION DAY
Friday 15 September
11am-6pm  in the South Churchyard at Southwark Cathedral
Find out about the latest developments in the Bankside area.
Many Southwark Council departments and local community
groups will have stalls offering information and literature.
The event will also feature a free Bankside mystery tour.
Starting at 1pm, there will be a guided historic walk with
extracts from Chaucer and Shakespeare. The tour will be led
by local poet, actor and author of The Southwark Mysteries,
John Constable.
