Info & map: http://www.London-SE1.co.uk/whatson/event/6627 BEATING THE BOUNDS OF ST HUGH'S PARISH Saturday 25 April Meet 2pm at St Hugh's, Crosby Row (entrance on Porlock St) Artist Ana Laura Lopez de la Torre's exploration of the Tabard Gardens Estate culminates with a live event organized in collaboration with the parish priests of St Hugh's and St George the Martyr churches. Come and help map the modern boundary of St Hugh's parish. Traditional parish markers of stones and crosses no longer exist so what should we use today? Traditionally, young boys were 'bumped' roughly on the markers to ensure they remembered the limits of their territory. Though boys will be safe on this event, children are invited to help 'beat' the boundary in a contemporary re-enactment of a forgotten tradition. Finish 3pm at Hankey Hall for refreshments and an exhibition of local children's art work. Over February half term Ana Laura worked with children through a week of intense activity, making drawings, collage and paintings related to life on the estate. The exhibition will be open till 6pm. Stress Exchange is donating 10 per cent of the fee to WPF Therapy. The two types of massage on offer for for pre and post marathon, each different but particular in their functions. * PRE MARATHON: Warms the muscles and gets them ready for the marathon.
