Thursday May 5th to Thursday July 7th

French, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese

A series of lunchtime language courses will be running from
Thursday May 5th to until Thursday July 7th

The early morning classes will be near Moorgate. The
lunchtime and evening courses will be held in-house at More
London and are open to beginners, intermediate and advanced
speakers of French, Spanish and Italian. There are also
beginners and intermediate  in Portuguese and German.

INTERGENERATIONAL POETRY WORKSHOPS
Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 April
11am-2pm at Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, 108 Stamford
Street
Living Memory heritage project with local poet Anna
Robinson. Open to young people and adults: come as a family
and learn together or come as an individual and take part in
the programme. There will be opportunities to display your
work as part of Waterloo Festival at St John's Waterloo and
take part in a heritage exhibition in August. There will be
follow-up workshops to devise a performance of the work.

RHYTHM OF LONDON AT THE SCOOP

The amphitheatre next door to City Hall plays host to a
lunchtime concert featuring young ensembles and performers
from across London. The lineup includes Bexley Little Big
Band, which features 16 brass and wind players from Bexley
Music Service based at Bird College in Sidcup. Also
performing will be the Hounslow Brass Quintet. Weather
permitting, bring lunch and settle down for a great
selection of London's up and coming young talents.

GUERRILLA FASHION SHOW AROUND LONDON BRIDGE

Approx 4pm around the London Bridge area
Flash mob haute-couture fashion show organised by Crucifix
Lane-based designer Pierre Garroudi 20 models will present
Pierre Garroudi's red collection accompanied by dancers. At
about 4pm the fashion show will be in the London Bridge area
before moving to Charing Cross Station and Trafalgar Square.

BBC RADIO 4 TODAY PROGRAMME LIVE FROM THE SOUTH BANK
Good Friday 22 April
6am-9am at Southbank Centre, South Bank; free (booking

The Today programme will be marking the 60th anniversary of
the Festival of Britain with a live outside broadcast in
front of an audience at the Southbank Centre. The programme
will be presented by Evan Davis. Entry is ticket only and

GOOD FRIDAY WALK OF WITNESS
Good Friday 22 April
10am at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park, Lambeth Road
Churches Together in North Lambeth and District's annual
Good Friday walk of witness starts at 10am in Geraldine Mary
Harmsworth Park and at St John's Waterloo. The two
processions meet at Waterloo Station for a short service on
the concourse underneath the famous clock.
