All over the world women will be standing on bridges today to make a stand for peace and women's equality. The group would be very keen to hear what you want from your library service. Where you would like it to be located? How would you like the service to be delivered? Who should deliver the service? The council officers are currently moving towards the premise that the library would be best housed in the Waterloo Action Centre building. But the Friends group points out that this is not the only possible location - Living Space on Waterloo Road and Oasis Centre on the corner of Westminster Bridge Road and Kennington Road could also feasibly host a library. Are you keen to get your daughter involved in a team activity with other girls where she will increase her skills and confidence? England Netball has given a grant to support the development of junior netball in Waterloo. Training sessions will begin in the April term at Archbishop's Park and Geraldine Mary Harrmsworth Park (Imperial War Museum). Separate sessions will run for primary and secondary school girls. No prior experience is needed - but lots of enthusiasm is required! Places will be limited so please register your interest now. TRAINING ACADEMY FOR LOCAL 17-21 YEAR OLDS Southbank Centre and E4 Udderbelly are launching a Training Academy for 17-21 year-olds from Southwark & Lambeth. The Academy gives 22 young people the opportunity to take part in a 6 week course, gaining a practical insight into all aspects of running a performance venue.
