This month Miaomiao gives a piano recital featuring works by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Bach and Ding Shande. Studies show classical music can bring tremendous benefits to young children, but the idea is simply to bring adults and kids of all ages together for a lively morning of exceptional music. The event will present findings of a study that was carried out in Southwark and Lambeth to look at different people's exposure to air pollution in their daily lives. The event will also be a forum for open discussion with researchers. They want to talk to local people about what they know about air pollution, what they need to know and what methods of communication would be helpful to them. The input from local people is essential to develop the work further as it will be based on the needs of the local population. Refreshments provided and travel expenses reimbursed.
