Courses are open to beginners, intermediate and advanced speakers of French, Spanish and Italian as well as beginners of Portuguese and German. The price will range from �130 for returning students to �160 for new students. This year's Men's Health Week runs from the 10th to 16th June and aims to tackle stigma in men's mental health and promote mental well-being and help-seeking in men. As part of Men's Health Week the Men's Health Forum has created a new range of posters and leaflets focussing on how hard many men find it to talk about feeling down. Info & map: http://www.London-SE1.co.uk/whatson/event/14359 SCIENCE IN THE PUB: DEAD INTERESTING: THE SEARCH FOR STAR SPECIMENS IN THE HORNIMAN'S NATURAL SCIENCE COLLECTION Monday 10 June 7.30pm at Albert Arms, 1 Gladstone Street; free Natural science collections underpin our understanding of biodiversity, but they also provide an resource for research, education and artistic inspiration. Join Russell Dornan in a visual exploration of the Horniman Museum's historic natural science collection, where he has been searching for star specimens to share, guided by expert reviewers. The presentation will take place in the Albert Arms starting at 7.30pm, but there will be people in the pub from 6.30pm for food, drink and discussion. Science in the Pub meets on the second Monday of every month at the Albert Arms. Entry free, contributions requested towards speakers' expenses. Any surplus at the end of this year will be donated to the Wallace Fund as this is the centenary year of the death of Alfred Russel Wallace. Listen to classic stories as told through the soundscape of Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, and sit in the "Children's Corner" with 3-year old Chou-Chou as Papa Debussy creates a magical musical world with her toys. Studies show classical music can bring tremendous benefits to young children, but the idea is simply to bring adults and kids of all ages together for a lively morning of exceptional music. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories of master detective Holmes and his amiable sidekick Dr Watson are enduringly popular and this new adaptation promises a mash-up of the canon's best bits with a few surprises along the way. The interactive show features live music and puppetry - all with a cast of just four actors. Every weekend, Calle Laurel sees people wandering from bar to bar, enjoying a different tapa accompanied by a glass of Rioja. At Rioja Tapas Fantasticas you can recreate this experience beside the Thames. The line-up includes live cookery demonstrations by Jose Pizarro. Wine experts Olly Smith and Susy Atkins will bring a fun and informal introduction to Rioja wines with a packed schedule of wine tasting workshops, and small group wine walks. The festival is free to attend, with visitors offered to purchase a wine glass including tokens on entry which can be exchanged for samples of stunning Rioja wines. Visitors will also be able to purchase further glasses of wine and tapas dishes from all exhibiting restaurants and wineries throughout the day.
