Founded by the Mental Fight Club, the Dragon Cafe first ran for 12 months from October 2012 with support from the Maudsley Charity and the Big Lottery Fund. Now the Monday programme will resume for another year in the crypt of St George the Martyr Church with the backing of Guy's and St Thomas' Charity. Open every Monday from 12 noon to 8.30pm, the Dragon Cafe provides a safe, stimulating and creative space for more than 200 people each week. The programme includes art exhibitions, freshly prepared and reasonably priced vegetarian food, a chill-out zone and more. Daytime groups include writing, art, tai chi, boxing, mindfulness, gardening, dancing and singing. Evening events range from performances, creative talks and discussions, to dancing and games nights. Ben�s passion for bones has allowed him to make a name for himself as a skilled articulator of skeletons for universities and museums. His current academic research is focussed on the rate of evolutionary adaptation of primates introduced to islands, in an attempt to understand how populations respond to environmental change. Ben will also talk about his new BBC TV series Secrets of Bones.
