BACH'S ST JOHN PASSION

The Choirs of Morley College and Morley Players present a
special performance of Bach's 'St John Passion', newly
edited in English by Neil Jenkins. First performed in 1724,
the St John Passion tells John's story of the crucifixion
through poetry and biblical passages. Conducted by David
Revels.

EARTH HOUR - KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE OXO TOWER
Saturday 28 March
8.30pm-9.30pm  at Oxo Tower Wharf,  Barge House Street; free
South Bank will be steeped in darkness for one hour with
many prominent buildings switching off their lights for this
annual WWF event. The following South Bank landmarks will
all be switching off their lights: Old Vic, Coca-Cola London
Eye, Mondrian Hotel London (Sea Containers sign), Southbank
Centre, Park Plaza Hotel County Hall and Park Plaza Hotel
Westminster Bridge, BFI Southbank, BFI IMAX, National
Theatre, Skylon and Oxo Tower Restaurant, Bar & Brasserie.
Residents and visitors on the South Bank will be invited to
look up during the hour for a special Earth Hour surprise at
Oxo Tower Wharf.

CROSS BONES: A GUIDED WALK WITH JOHN CONSTABLE
Sunday 29 March
2pm (meet 1.45pm - NB clocks change today) at Tabard Street

Discover the lost history of Cross Bones, the burial ground
for paupers and prostitutes in the heart of the Borough.
John Constable relates its desecration, rediscovery, and
current restoration as a public open space and garden of
remembrance. John is a local writer who first revealed the
Cross Bones story in his book The Southwark Mysteries and
was the driving force behind the campaign to establish a
place to 'honour the outcast'. The Cross Bones Walk takes
you round The Liberty of the Clink, its theatres, bear-pits,
prisons and brothels licensed by the Bishop of Winchester.
We finish at Cross Bones, the final resting place of the
'Winchester Geese'.

SONG RECYCLE PRESENTS SAINT MARK PASSION (HANDEL)
Sunday 29 March
6.30pm at Southwark Cathedral,  London Bridge; free
Song reCycle presents the world premiere of Saint Mark
Passion, a new oratorio with music by G.F. Handel. This
collection of Handel's music from 17 different English
oratorios has been arranged by William Bouvel to tell the
passion story according to Mark's gospel. Performed in
Southwark Cathedral on Palm Sunday with Thomas Guthrie
narrator, James Sherlock organist, William Bouvel tenor,
Christopher Dollins baritone, Holly Marie Bingham mezzo
soprano, Cristina Jones soprano, Lucinda Stuart�Grant mezzo
soprano, Julian Gregory tenor, Nicholas Beever baritone, and
The Templar Scholars Choir conducted by Victoria Longdon.
