POLYPHONY DOWN THE PUB
Monday 13 July
7pm at The Horse & Stables, 122-124 Westminster Bridge Road;
free
Singing/socialising event - a pub 'jam session' but instead
of playing folk music or jazz, people turn up to sing a
cappella masterpieces from the 16th century by Palestrina,
Victoria and others. Anyone who can read music and wants to
take part should download the sheet music from the PDtP
website; anyone who doesn't read music is still welcome to
come along and listen. No audition, no rehearsal, no
performance; just people in a pub making music. This session
will be the last of the season before a summer break.

COMMUNITY SPORTS DAY & CONSULTATION
Tuesday 14 July
3.30pm-6.30pm  at Marlborough Sports Garden, Union Street
There will be a range of sports and activities for under 11s
as well as information on the development plans for the
space and opportunities to provide feedback. A Bankside Open
Spaces Trust event.

DR BIKE WATERLOO
Wednesday 15 July
5pm-7.30pm outside James Clerk Maxwell Building, 57 Waterloo
Road; free
Bring your bike to Lambeth's team of professional mechanics
who will look it over and check tyres, brakes, gears etc. If
it needs fixing and they can do it in the allotted time they
will, free of charge. If there is a bigger problem they will
tell you what is wrong so you can take your bike to the
nearest independent bike shop and get it fixed there. The
event will also feature drivers from Veolia and FM Conways
with their HGVs talking to you about blind spots and how to
safely share the road with big vehicles. And not only all
that but the police will also be at many events to security
mark your bike and place it on BikeRegister.com. Please
email [email protected] at least a day before to check
if security marking is taking place at your chosen Dr Bike
event.

HUMANS OF WATERLOO - PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Join the Waterloo Sights & Sounds heritage group for a
summer project inspired by Humans of New York, photographing
and interviewing people in Waterloo and North Southwark to
create a digital record of the lives of people who live in,
work in and visit the area. At this workshop led by Anthony
Epes learn how to take environmental portraits in street
photography setting and put your new skills into practice in
a walk around the South Bank and Waterloo. Please bring your
own camera (camera phones are fine). Beginners welcome.

HUMANS OF WATERLOO - INTERVIEWING WORKSHOP

11am-2pm  at Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, 108 Stamford

historian, is running two workshops on developing interview
skills. The session will look at the best questions to use
and how to get the most out of the interviews. In the

on the project and try your new skills out.
