The programme includes Gustav Holst's Ode To Death, written after World War I to mark the waste of life and futility of war, and Brahms' song of lamentation N�nie. The concert reaches its climax with a performance of Faur�'s Requiem. Conductor: Simon Over. The concert will include choral and organ music, as well as jazz, and will conclude with movements from Durufl�'s Requiem. Admission is free and there will be a retiring collection toward chorister training at St George's Cathedral. All are welcome to attend. The new Lord Mayor of London will travel on the Royal Row Barge Gloriana and Tower Bridge will be raised in salute at 9.25am. Both bridges will be closed to traffic to make more room for spectators.
