The exhibition explores the history of the Palace, the surrounding area, and its role in Lambeth's history. Entry is by timed, escorted groups only, meeting at the main gate of Lambeth Palace. Residents and community groups often feel that all the different agencies operate in isolation to each other. Cllr Damian O'Brien (Grange ward) has arranged a meeting to bring together all the interested parties. The specific objective is to agree how to create a traffic management plan for the area between Tooley Street, Borough High Street, Great Dover Street and Tower Bridge Road (if the group feel this is the right boundary). Transport for London, Network Rail, Southwark Council, Team London Bridge and Guy's Hospital have already confirmed their attendance and will give a short presentation to the audience whose input will be critical. All are welcome to come inside and visit the church where you can learn more about Rifleman Christopher Henry Hughes (former bell ringer of St George the Martyr) and share in refreshments. Or you may wish to pay your respects to those who lost their lives in conflict or say a prayer for peace. All are welcome. Info & map: http://www.London-SE1.co.uk/whatson/event/18037 LOOKING AHEAD TO NEXT WEEK: WATERLOO COMMUNITY THEATRE Tuesday 13 September 4.30pm-4pm at Network Theatre, 246a Lower Road; �30 per term Waterloo Community Theatre, a new theatre company for young people, opened its doors in April this year. Since then it has run a term of drama workshops and had a successful showcase at Network Theatre. Its young members achieved the Discover Arts Award, accredited by Trinity College. The group iscurrently accepting new members for the 8-14 age group. Membership fee is �30 per term and sessions are Tuesdays 4:30-6pm at Network Theatre. This term starts on Tuesday 13 September. All sessions are delivered by DBS checked qualified theatre professionals.
