WATERLOO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP AGM
Wednesday 25 January
7.15pm at Waterloo Action Centre, 14 Baylis Road
The meeting will discuss plans for skyscrapers on
Blackfriars Road, a new building for Lambeth Palace Library
and the proposed redevelopment of the Days Hotel.

VEHICLE IDLING ACTION EVENT
Thursday 26 January
12pm-2pm  at Emma Cons Gardens,  The Cut
Vehicle Idling Action is a London-wide education and
behaviour change campaign to help reduce localised air
pollution caused by motorists who leave their engines
running when stationary. In Emma Cons Gardens there will be
a giant snakes & ladders game highlighting the issues of air
pollution and idling, and lots of mini games, car stickers
and leaflets to give away. Trained volunteers will talk to
pedestrians and motorists about the problems of idling, and
requesting politely that any idling motorists they come
across switch off their engines. Whether you�re a concerned
local citizen or work at a local business, there are
opportunities to get involved.

UNIQLO TATE LATES
Friday 27 January
6pm-10pm  at Tate Modern,  Bankside; free
On the last Friday of every month, Tate Modern stays open
late for art, film, music, talks, workshops, food and drink.
You can enjoy music from the best emerging and established
DJs, selected by NTS Radio, and get involved in talks and
workshops. The bars will be offering a special two-for-one
cocktail and you can explore the exhibitions after hours.
