This exhibition will focus on the search for a site for an expanded Bakerloo line station at Elephant & Castle. Archivist Patricia Dark will discuss the state of public health in interwar Southwark, and outline some of the grassroots efforts local people made to improve it. Come and hear more about Southwark's pioneering role in public health. This talk has been arranged by Southwark Heritage Service, Southwark Council, as part of a series of regular local history talks at John Harvard Library. This event will introduce new UNIT agents, or those interested in time travel, to some of the Doctor's known local incursions by examining contemporary documents, photographs, and objects.
